Danny thrives on self discovery and observation, providing the inspiration that fuels his creative consciousness.  Danny’s art embraces a multi layered system of information influencing and manipulating his perspectives of the build environment as he plays with the viewers preconceived notions of themselves and the world around them. Social commentaries play a prominent role and are represented through his use of characters, faces and the manipulation of text.

Palette Industries was asked to bring their unique perspective to the conversation. The lecture will took place in theatre C610 at 6:00 pm March 10, 2008.

Sam’s Note: It was really fun experience, thanks to the staff, students and public for the warm welcome….and for not falling asleep ;)

Palette in the Press

Its pretty amazing to receive great press on our projects, the Dharma Lounge was no exception making waves internationally in design magazines and blogs all over the world. We have received many emails from people from Brazil to Paris wanting to know more about the chair. In fact recently it has been published in magazines in Belgium, France, Italy and Bulgaria (we will post them as we receive them.) More on the home front Canada’s Style at Home was great enough to feature Palette Industries as one of the rising stars for the IDS 08. Here is a quick link to the article below (pdf)

Holy Dharma

The last few months have been hectic with nothing but the Dharma Lounge occupying our minds, so here’s lil photo recap of what happened the last few months.

We prototyped the Dharma Lounge Chair for its public debut at the 2008 Interior Design Show in Toronto.

Here is the Dharma Lounge displayed in the Prototype Show. Thanks to all those who came out to meet us and view the chair in person.

Overall the show was a success and it was great meeting the public and the industry. The Dharma Lounge was so well received that we have made initial plans in fabrication of a limited run so the you can own a “one of a kind” art piece, but more on that later.

Also special thanks to Pusch Clothing for ensuring we looked our finest by providing clothing for each of us for the Interior Design Show.
